WATARI’S MACHINE: WEBSITE LAUNCH
Announcing the launch of my favorite manila based synthpop group WATARI’s MACHINE! Formed by my friend Nono Acosta (a.k.a Names Are For Tombstones).
“Watari’s Machine was originally random live collaborations between Noel Acosta and Boy Ramos (of The Thought) who both are members of the Philippine music community Electronica Manila, Acosta decided to make it an entirely new music project. Named after a song from Acosta’s main music project Names Are For Tombstones (NAFT), Watari’s Machine became official during the latter half of 2005. Acosta imagined it to be an antithesis of NAFT incorporating an 80s-inspired and more dance-oriented synthpop/electropop sound.” - WM Biography (From the site)
I’ve had the chance to remix WM’s song Watari’s Machine before, guess I’ll upload it here on my next post!
